Median peak parasitemia among all patients was 3.85% (Range 0.05-13%), & median parasitemia among patients admitted to ICU was 8% (Range: 3%-23%). This difference in means between ICU & non-ICU patients using the unpaired t-test was significant (p=0.0122). Using the unpaired t-test the following lab parameters were significantly different between ICU & non-ICU patients: LDH (p=0.0103), AST (p=0.0002) and TBilli (p=0.0039) while Hemoglobin (p=0.2350), Platelets (p= 0.3973), ALT (p=0.149) were not.
