| Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on immunointervention in psoriasis with anti-CD4 antibodies. Precise immunophenotyping studies showed that the mononuclear cell infiltrate of most inflammatory dermatoses is characterized by a preponderance of the CD4 helper/inducer T cell subset, whereas preponderance of the CD8 subset is only occasional. Blocking the activation of CD4 T cells is a prerequisite for clinical efficacy in these chronic inflammatory dermatoses. Indirect evidence suggests a primary immune trigger in the superficial dermis and for the inflammatory and hyperproliferative process. |
