| Abstrakt: | The article offers information related to the history of the island of Lokrum in the Adriatic Sea, which was cursed by Benedictine monks. It mentions the efforts of Yugoslav Academy of Arts and Sciences to establish a botanical garden in 1959 for the express purpose of bringing in plants from far away to see if they will grow in Croatia.It also mentions that garden of Lokrum was estimated to support the richest diversity of eucalyptus outside Australia and New Zealand. |
