An analysis of ways to increase the quality and productivity of diamond tool manufacturing is given. Study results of opportunities given to solve this problem by the application of laser technology are offered. It is shown that laser heating can be applied to increase the dispersivity and uniformity of structure of a diamond-containing layer, for sintering previously prepared briquettes of a diamond-containing mixture and for manufacturing one-row multilayer diamond tools using strong and wear-resistant binders.
