The article presents a case report of a 45-year-old woman presented with a 2-week history of weakness with rapidly progressing abdominal distention. The patient was known to suffer from Turner's syndrome 45XO/45XX. Primary amenorrhea, short stature and streak gonads characterize Turner's syndrome. It is associated with somatic anomalies primarily involving the skeleton and connective tissues leading to webbing of the neck, low hairline and redundant skin folds. Turner's syndrome and the presence of streak gonads also may predispose to the development of gonadal tumors. |
