The article focuses on painter Henryk Siemiradzk's academic works. It mentions his success in putting the academic method of his own based on tradition. It is noted that there are several academic works in the State Russian Museum, executed by him in his classes at the Academy. It cites the sketch Massacre of the Innocents and compares it with painter Nicolas Poussin. |
