Abstrakt: The ultimate goal for the healing process is complete reconstruction of the damaged structures. The wound should heal without scarring and be reconstructed to be as like the original structure as possible. The wound has its periphery and its center. Angiogenesis induces better nutritional conditions for fibroblasts and epidermal cells to eventually close the wound. The sequential process by which the different cells interact is orchestrated by the release of various signal substances, cytokines and inflammatory mediators, to either stimulate or suppress the function of neighboring cells. Proto-oncogens are made active in these cells.
