ECONOMIC ASPECTS REORGANIZATION OF ACCOMMODATION FACILITIES ON ECO-FRIENDLY HOTEL IN SLOVAKIA.

Abstrakt: Ecotourism is often connected s concepts nature tourism, wildlife tourism, soft tourism, green tourism. In Slovakia, there is a known concept of green tourism, which main goal is stay in environment untouched by man. Ecotourism is a form of tourism involving visiting fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often small scale alternative to standard commercial mass tourism. It means responsible travel to natural areas, conserving the environment, an improving the well-being of the local people. Ecotourism can be a suitable alternative to exploitation of land (mineral extraction) and to destructive forms of recreation and tourism development. At present time ecotourism is considered as an alternative form of tourism. Main reason to participate in ecotourism is desire to see attractive lands, untouched by human intervention. It could contain natural environment or cultural element in material and abstract form. Motive for travelers is understanding values of this lands, with main focus on its protection. Article characterizes current status of ecotourism in Slovakia, specifically ecolocations on our territory, criteria for environmental designation of products and services in Slovakia and in European Union. It also analyzes the possible causes that prevent an operating device from obtaining an eco-label. This article deals in estimated budget invested expenses on reorganization of boarding house to ecology-friendly hotel. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
