Abstrakt: In the work, composite hydrogel materials based on potassium polyacrylate containing protein hydrolyzate as a filler were synthesized by the method of free-radical polymerization in an aqueous medium. The concentration of the filler (1-5 % wt.), and the concentration of the crosslinking agent (0.05-0.2 % wt.) varied during the synthesis. The obtained samples were studied by DSC, TGA, and optical microscopy methods. It was shown that the polymer sample with a protein hydrolyzate with a concentration of 5 % wt. and a degree of crosslinking of 0.1 % wt. had the optimum water-holding, sorption, and thermal properties. With an increase in the proportionof the filler, the onset and maximum temperatures of the evaporation of water shift towards higher temperatures. The TGA study showed that an increase in the proportion of filler and the degree of crosslinking leads to a decrease in the thermal stability of the samples. The obtained hydrogel compositions can be promising for use in agriculture as moisture absorbers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
