Abstrakt: In this paper a new method is introduced to calculate the neutral surface position of orthotropic laminated bimodular beam. Based on this new method bending analysis is carried out of thick bimodular laminated beam using first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) along with modified shear correction factor for bimodular materials. Coupling between bending-stretching, twist-stretching and bending-twist are bridged by using equivalent stiffness parameters. The results obtained by the present method are compared with previous research and found good argument between them. Numerical results are obtained for different stacking sequences and boundary conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
