In the moderately humid subtropical zone of Lagodekhi, for the selection of new assortment of greenery, the features of growth and development of introduced of decorative wood plants were studied. 14 varieties were made (Magnolia grandiflora L., Cinamomum glanduliferum Meisn., Eucaliptus cinerea F. V. Mueller., E. viminalis Labill., Osmanthus fragrans Lour., Nerium oleander L., Camelia japonica L., Daphne odorata Reicd., Ginkgo biloba L., Magnolia soulangiana Soul., Liriodendron tulipiferum L., Liguidamber stiraciflua L., Albizia julibrissin Durazz., Hidrangea macrophylla Thunb.), 97 trees, 5-8 years old trees and 3-4 year old bushes from the subtropical zone of western Georgia (Samegrelo, Guria, Adjara) with total value of 2994 GEL. Planting and further maintenance of plants were carried out in full compliance with agro-breeding. A 2-year study showed that from only one species of plants (Cinnamomum Camphora) half of the samples died, because they did not respond to local soil and water conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
