The article offers information on a significant increase in the number of folate deficient patient samples. It mentions the reference interval based on the results of 130 individuals with homocysteine levels and lacking folate fortification; and also mentions the lower reference limit (LRL) using the serum folate III re-standardized assay showed a value which was only slightly lower than the one reported by the manufacturer. |
