The article profiles transgender activist Georgie Stone. It describes the bullying Stone experienced in school during her childhood and the distress she suffered from going through the Family Court to access hormone treatment. It highlights Stone's determination to charm the producer of the Australian opera "Neighbours" to add a transgender character in it. Also noted is the initiative of Stone's mother Rebekah with the founding of a referral organization that supports families of transgenders. |
