Abstrakt: The article identifies who physicians can talk to if they experience burnout and dissatisfaction in their jobs. It suggests talking to immediate colleagues, one's supervisor, institution administrators, colleagues in other settings, and one's family, and the organization's likely receptivity to the concerns of a physician in good standing. Also noted is the need for an unhappy physician to consider other options of working in the organization before resigning.
