Abstrakt: The article offers a case report of two women including a 16-year-old woman in labor died after accidental IV administration of fentaNYL with bupivacaine instead of penicillin G.3, and a 21-year-old woman in labor received IV fentaNYL with bupivacaine instead of penicillin G; and mentions that due to the risk of mix-ups between epidural analgesia and IV antibiotics in L&D settings, several recommendations are given including consider less toxic anesthetics, and conduct a time-out.
