Abstrakt: Recently through a series of observations it has been shown that supermassive black holes (SMBH) residing at the center of galaxies play a significant role in cosmic evolution of structure in the Universe (e.g., Tremaine et al. 2002; Schawinski et al. 2007). The core of our research is focused in investigating the connection between SMBH evolution and cosmological structure formation (known as SMBH co-evolution in the literature) in numerical simulations and testing the predictions against multi-wavelength observations.Traditional cosmological signals like the cosmic microwave background, spatial clustering statistics and diffuse X-ray gas in galaxies and clusters are used to throw light on this co-evolution paradigm.
