Abstrakt: The article focuses on a study which seeks to compare blood rheology, the percentage of irreversibly sickled cells (%ISCs) with innovative technology, and red blood cell adhesion in the same patients at steady state and during acute and painful vaso-occlusive crisis (VOC), which represents the most frequent complication encountered by patients with sickle cell anaemia (SCA). Information about blood samples is presented.
