This article presents information related to the socio-political issues in the United States. Germany is slowly emerging from a prolonged political crisis. The elections of May 4 gave the central bloc--which included the Social Democrats, the Democrats, the Centrists (Catholic), and the so-called People's Party, but excluded Communists at the Left and Nationalists and Racialists at the Right--a bare majority. Persistent attempts have been made to force out the Socialists and bring the Nationalists into a governing bourgeois bloc. The Nationalists, however, made that difficult by their refusal as a party to accept the Dawes Plan. |
