A quantum-chemical study of chlorhexidine structure and its bromine derivatives is carried out, and their basic physico-chemical characteristics of reactivity are calculated. The nitrogen atoms of chlorhexidine and the bromine derivatives are found out to be potential centers of electrostatic interaction in the polymer matrices of various types of nanofilms for medical purposes. Chlorine and bromine ions can be potential antibacterial centers. Methods of obtaining a new type of nanofilms for medical and biological products are developed. This approach to obtain polylayers with an active antimicrobial surface combines the predicted theoretical scheme of reaction and its experimental implementation, which will greatly facilitate the fulfillment of the tasks in many fields of medicine and new biotechnologies. The article presents the results of the quantum-chemical substantiation of chlorhexidine and its bromine derivatives' use as promising antibacterial carriers in the composition of nanofilms for medical purposes.
