Written as a design studies inquiry, this article employs a futures studies technique - namely causal layered analysis (CLA) - to further examine a design practice case study. CLA is used as a lens through which to analyse the ideologies and worldviews embodied in the "design future" postulated by the Agbogbloshie Makerspace Platform in Accra, Ghana.
