Highlights from the article: Patients were divided in three groups for systolic blood pressure (SBP) targets (G1 140-160 mmHg, G2 160-180 mmHg and G3 180-200 mmHg), and if needed, vasoactive drugs were used to achieve these goals. These results, along with data showing increased complications with norepinephrine, may indicate that patients who are in the recommended SBP range should not receive any drug for BP control. We think that patients with greater areas of penumbra may benefit from different SBP control schemas. |
