The article focuses on a study conducted to analyze the imapct of dietary supplementation of lysine and threonine on yearling horses' growth. In two 112-d experiments, 39 Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse yearlings were used and fed three dietary treatments inclduing a pelleted concentrate containing corn, oats, and soybean meal an coastal bermudagrass hay, which found that for yearling horses fed a concentrate containing corn, oats and soybean, threonine is the second-limiting amino acid. |
