The article presents the results of computer simulations, including two illumination methods used in design practice, the flood and mixed method. Under the aforementioned methods, the detailed analysis covered the scope of impact of qualitative features of facade materials (performing mirror and diffused reflection) on the possibility of using selected illumination principles as part of the illumination design process. In the simulations an advanced graphic application was used, allowing the mapping of physical phenomena of the light rays course. A real architectural object was selected for the research: the Parliament of the Alberta Province in Edmonton, Canada. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
