It is proposed the method of determining the stages of the stress-strain state of the elements for a pure transverse bend using a deformation model. ‘Calculated cross-section’ provides an opportunity to make an assumption regarding the shape of the stress diagram and its maximum ordinate in the cross-section in the compressed zone of the bending wood element.
