Abstrakt: This article presents news briefs related to the international relations of various countries. As German troops and arms pour into Romania, the outline of the strategy agreed upon by fascist Adolf Hitler and fascist Benito Mussolini at the Brenner becomes fairly clear. Bucharest is important as a station on the way to Suez, but as a barricade against any further Russian advance in Europe it is vital. The State Department's warning to Americans to leave China and the Japanese Empire as quickly as possible indicates that Washington regards recent developments in the Far East as extremely grave.
