Abstrakt: | The article examines patient perceptions of nurse communications and actions that result in negative feelings among patients at increased risk for demoralization. Topics discussed include association between demoralization and adverse health outcomes, four instruments developed to identify demoralization in medical patients, and study on demoralization as a concept of distress in severely ill patients with mixed-diagnosis cancer. |
