Abstrakt:	An implicit symmetry constraint of the famous Toda lattice hierarchy is presented. Using this symmetry constraint, every lattice equation in the Toda hierarchy is decomposed by an integrable symplectic map and a completely integrable finite-dimensional Hamiltonian system.
