One of the main concerns in planning a vaginal birth after previous cesarean section is the risk for uterine rupture which is considered to be associated with the wall thickness in the scar area. Assuming the uterine scar to be located within the lower uterine segment (LUS), ultrasound diagnostic with LUS thickness measurement is widely used for prenatal risk assessment.
