Abstrakt: The article comments on some authors and their works. The book "The Big Three," written by David J. Dallin reveals sentimentalism by claiming that there will be no Third World War. Another book "Literary Currents in Hispanic America," is written by Pedro Henriquez-Ureña. The book is made up of eight lectures delivered during the winter of 1940-41 at Harvard University. The author spent two and a half years rewriting them, enlarging their scope and adding valuable notes that form more than a quarter of the book. The fact that the chapters were first written to be read before a specific audience of intelligent and literate listeners may be responsible for a certain directness, vigor and simplicity of address which are too seldom found in books on this subject.
