During the wound healing process there is an element of contraction and scarring. Lip wounds can be very noticeable to others, making patients self‐conscious. In the lower lip there is an added problem of significant muscular pull similar to a sphincteric system. We demonstrate excellent healing with the injection of Botulinum Toxin A (Botox®) as an adjunct to close surgical excision of a chronic, non‐healing lower lip fissure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
