The Aim of this paper is to focus on the Code of Ethics of Slovak Spokesperson Association and on the situations when it has not been followed by spokespersons in Slovakia. We have focused on the period of years ended by number eight- to be exact - years 2008 - 2018. Because not only journalists and media are those who are obliged to act according to the Code of Press Ethics, but those who are on the other side - those who provide information to media - spokespeople - are obliged to act according to the ethics rules as well. We have summed up the most known and the most medialized situations in Slovakia in the last decade when Slovak spokesmen and spokeswomen did not act according to the Code of Ethics of Slovak Spokesperson Association, either in their relationship with media or with their employer.
