Abstrakt: Tactical periodization is a training concept applied in the training of junior team A from "Gică Popescu" Football Academy. As the main purpose of tactical periodization is to learn how to play, we have tried to build a complex model of training methods and means to increase team progress in terms of players' individual quality and the quality of the team game as well. In all training sessions we have comprehensively prepared all the moments of the game, defending attack, offensive and defensive transitions, all of them in the light of a game model accepted by coaches and players. Needless to say, the traditional conception of the team has undergone substantial changes. Judging the players' opinions, we have noticed that this way of training is much more enjoyable and immediately accepted by the players. Their participation in the tactical periodical training required the creation of actuation automations that increased the level of tactical manifestation, both physically and psychologically. Mental involvement was at the highest level, as the players contributed to the game model, which was a new goal for them. Thus, following the implementation and application of this new training concept, we found substantial increases in players' speed and specific game endurance, which were educated weekly in the manner of tactical periodization.
