The article informs that Google can limit the right to be forgotten to internet searches made in the European Union (EU) as of January 2019. It mentions that opinion of Maciej Szpunar judge was welcomed by Google that locked horns with France's privacy watchdog after being fined in 2016 for failing to delist sensitive information beyond the borders of EU. It also mentions that fundamental right to be forgotten needs to be balanced against other fundamental rights like right to data protection. |
