In the article I analyze photographic series entitled Me, Renata Dąbrowska - 100 portraits. I aim to find the answers to the questions: why does this series move me and what artistic means were used by the photographer during its creation. I refer here to the concept of „neuroaesthetics" introduced to the deliberations on the work of art by Semir Zeki. Simultaneously, I bring the „eight laws of artistic experience" (Ramachandran, Hirstein), referring to particular photographs included in the series. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
