Abstrakt: Nowadays, epoxy resins are extensive applied as a matrix in fiber‐reinforced materials. However, its production process is very sensitive to temperature control. High process temperatures substantially accelerate the exothermic production process, which can lead to combustion. Therefore, a constitutive model of the matrix material must be provided first. Second, initial boundary value problems need to be treated by time‐adaptive, high‐order time integration schemes within finite elements in order to obtain precise and reliable results within an appropriate calculation time.
