This paper presents the results of investigation of radioactive isotopes from the exploration oil field of Toson-Uul basin of Mongolia. The investigation of radioactive isotopes in the Toson-Uul exploration field has been carried out since 2012. In a result of environmental radiation monitoring such natural and artificial radioactive isotopes as uranium (238U), radium (226Ra), thorium (232Th), potassium (40K), cesium (137Cs) in 230 soil samples from XIX, XXI-fields of the Toson-Uul basin and bismuth (214Bi) and lead (214Pb) isotopes in 120 water samples were identified. The natural radioactive isotopes were identified in soil sampled from XIX and XXI-fields. Assessments of absorbed dose rate and effective equivalent dose for the population in the exploration field were conducted and results were compared with a worldwide average value.
