In periods of heightened competition and uncertainty in business, firms have responded by forming positive supply chain relationships. A growing body of literature calls for research to explore collaboration in supply chain networks. This study examines direct and indirect linkages between supply chain collaboration efficacy, supply chain security climate, and performance. Data from 234 supply chain members were tested using partial least squares path modelling. Results show efficacy has a direct influence on perceptions of security and performance outcomes. In addition, security climate in supply chain triads partially mediates the relationship between efficacy and outcomes. Collaborative relationships can foster a responsive and productive security climate that is vital in today's supply chains. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
