The article focuses on the poet Ahmed Morsi, who had worked as an English language teacher before given an opportunity of studying modern Iraqi poetry. It highlights the influence of the poets Badr Shakir al-Sayyab and Abd al-Wahhab Al-Bayati to the interests of Morsi in the modern Iraqi poetry. It also cites the poetry collections of Morsi with a shift to painting and stylistic phases. |
