Features of the Formation of Regions with Enhanced Electron Temperature in the Subauroral Ionosphere in Different Periods of Solar Activity.

Abstrakt: The paper considers the results of numerical simulation of the high-latitude ionosphere with taking into account the influence of the downward heat flux due to the ring current in the subauroral ionosphere and the CHAMP measurements obtained at different periods of solar activity. The calculations were performed using the high-latitude ionosphere model in Euler variables, which allows calculating the concentration of O+ ions, the temperature of electrons and ions, taking into account the geographic and geomagnetic poles mismatch. The features of the electron temperature distribution in the subauroral ionosphere, obtained for different levels of solar activity, are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
