Abstrakt: Materials possessing antimicrobial properties are of great interest for medicine. However, the safety of modern materials based on ammonium compounds, silver ions, and titanium oxide does not yet meet the desired standards. Graphene oxide is a promising candidate for biomedical research because it exhibits good antimicrobial properties with minimal cytotoxicity to human cells. This paper presents the results of studies of the antimicrobial properties of graphene oxide. It was shown that a suspension of graphene oxide with a concentration of 29 mg/ml has a bactericidal and fungicidal effect due to damage to the membrane of microbial cells. It has been established that Gram-positive thick-walled bacteria perish by graphene oxide die faster than Gram-negative thin-walled bacteria. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
