| Abstrakt: | The article highlights the work of Dhondup Gyal that contain depictions of animals in his many of the writings and poetry with specific focus to animal imagery. Topics discussed include description of the indigenous animals in his texts and imagery of Tibetan writing; rocks resembling animals have an important symbolic function and an ancient animal legend has an important role in his stories; his writings explains cultural differences in Tibetan and Western ways of thinking about animals. |
