The article deals with the philosophical and scientific analysis of the concept of «information society», which is based on the nonlinear approach to the analysis of the transformation of human existence in the context of the rapid development of media communications. The emergence of new types and styles of coding information and various data transfer mechanisms allows you to explore codes in various fields of scientific knowledge, in particular, technical, and social, and directly affect the human intellect through symbolic symbols. It is substantiated that data coding styles are an important element of the development of the information society in the conditions of rapid industrialization of computer technologies and cause significant changes in mental processes. Media communications gradually change familiar communication, gradually transforming the processes of human thinking in the direction from the real to the virtual. The real dimension is a field of nonlinear scientific knowledge; while the virtual one is the projection of a new digital reality, and it is dominated by non– abstract, but integrating–technological thinking.
