The article discusses the taxonomic status of a finner whale from southern Taiwan. The study reportedly involved a bone specimen of the species collected by Robert Swinhoe from a whale that was stranded on a beach in 1862. The results revealed that the finner whale species belongs in the genus Megaptera. |
