Abstrakt: An efficient synthetic protocol for the synthesis of highly substituted 2, 5 dihydropyrrole has been developed. The protocol involves K2CO3 mediated carbanion-yne intramolecular cyclization of Ugi-propargyl adducts to afford the 2, 5 dihydropyrrole derivatives in good to excellent yield. Moreover, the nature of the substituents at the benzaldehyde (R2) of the Ugi-propargyl adduct has a crucial effect on the yield of the cyclized product. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
