Localization of nonlinear spin waves in magnetic multilayers.

Abstrakt: For a description of the dynamics of a wide range of nonlinear multilayered magnetic media, we derive the nonlinear Schrödinger equation containing both linear and nonlinear δ -functional spatial perturbations. In the case of a system with one narrow magnetic layer having different values of single-ion anisotropy from that one of the matrix, within the long-wave approximation, we obtain the corresponding boundary conditions and find the solution localized near the layer. The regions of existence of this localized soliton state are determined, its properties are investigated, and the quasi-classical quantization of the soliton state is carried out. Finally, we conclude about the stability of the obtained localized solution with respect to small perturbations of the amplitude and phase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
