Abstrakt: Environmental changing conditions impact the diversity of soil as well as the land fill diversity. Different environmental conditions can show different abundances of microorganism. Especially, in Wonorejo Surabaya as mangrove preservation becomes important for ecological monitoring due to a community changing. The mold diversity had been subjected to a monitoring research project, and the sample was taken from several different locations, i.e., mangrove area, estuary, river, and human settlement nearest to mangrove zone. The top soil from those several different areas was cultured on the selective medium of different pH. The pure cultures were obtained and identified by macroscopic and microscopic characteristics. The results showed that the mold diversity from different top soil types in several zones of Wonorejo Areas is diverse. There is some genus that had been collected from all locations, i.e., Aspergillus, Fusarium, Gliocladium, Penicillium, and Trichoderma. This data distribution indicates that the distribution of the mold is affected by different habitat. The natural habitat mangrove shows the most vary in genus diversity compared with land that has changed function. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
