A biography of Krys Lee, the Korean American author, is presented, and it mentions several of Lee's books which include "Drifting House" and "How I Became a North Korean." Lee's parents and her education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) are addressed, along with her receipt of several literary awards such as the Rome Prize. Lee's volunteer work with North Korean refugees is assessed, along with the literary themes of ethnic identity, personal loneliness, and survival. |
