Abstrakt: Knowledge of the history of agronomic science makes it possible to more fundamentally assess the essence of certain problems, to be more critical of analyzing the problems of today’s agriculture. For a long time, till the nineteenth century, agriculture in the territory of modern Southern Ukraine was not a priority activity. Mainly unbroken, unprotected steppes served as pasture for numerous herds of landed livestock. Even the idea was suggested that «the land in Kherson province is malorous, and climatic conditions are detrimental to agricultural activity» [1, p. 5]. Indeed, extreme high temperatures and the absence of precipitation during the growing season minimize the efforts of agrarians in the southern region of Ukraine in obtaining good crops. However, the experience of using systematic irrigation as one of the most effective ways to overcome the moisture deficit in soils suggests that in the conditions of a comprehensive scientifically grounded approach to solving this problem, a stable and high production of agricultural products is provided [2, p. 10-11]. In addition, the microclimate of agricultural crops is affected by the location of forest bands along the fields, their fermentation. These factors lower the temperature of the surface layers of the soil, creating favorable conditions for the growth and development of plants. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
