The poly aniline (PANI) based nanocomposites filled with PbO nano material were prepared by the chemical polymerization method with various mass fractions of the aniline in acid medium with ammonium per sulfate(APS) as an oxidant. The phase was confirmed by the powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD). The SEM study shows a lumpy amassed morphology, and increases with an increase in the lead oxide mass % in poly aniline. Experimental results showed that transition metal ions had been successfully incorporated into the polymer, and there was a strong interaction between the transition metal ions and poly aniline chains. The prepared samples were characterized by FTIR, and the dominant peaks confirmed the formation of poly aniline-PbO composites. Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) demonstrated that the thermal stability of poly aniline containing transition metal ions was lower than that of emeraldine base of poly aniline and the Differential thermal analysis (DTA) shows the presence of heat effects at certain temperatures and provides some indication as to their magnitude and their rate.
