| Abstrakt: | A biography is presented for the poet Hoa Nguyen. She was born in 1967 in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region. Later, Nguyen and her family moved to the U.S. and then from Minnesota to Maryland, and she grew up in the Washington, DC, metro area. She went on to study poetry at the New College of California in San Francisco, California, with the noted poets Lyn Hejinian and Tom Clark. Various of her works are noted including the poem "Do I Plunge." |
